Bench wheels

Bench wheels are the most known in mechanics. They are normally used for sharpening. Molemab provides top quality bench wheels, tested according to the strictest safety rules. Specifications can be shared in three categories:

• Generic grinding
• Operations HSS tool sharpening
• Carbide tool sharpening

Wheels for generic grinding operations are made with grey aluminium oxide, grit sizes between 24 and 80 Mesh. HSS tool sharpening needs a higher cutting capability abrasive: that’s why Molemab recommends white or pink aluminium oxide. They can be 46 or 60 Mesh grit, for roughing or finishing. Carbide tool sharpening needs wheels made with green silicon carbide. The most used is grit 80. Grit 60 is used for roughing and 120 for chip breaking.
